Ex-Chelsea star hands huge warning to Tottenham

Tony Cascarino has said that Tottenham are in danger of losing the plot.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were outclassed 4-1 by runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City during the weekend and were fortune to have finished the game with 11 men after both Harry Kane and Dele Alli committed reckless challenges.

Spurs are already out of the title race this season and are currently languishing in 7th position on the League standings.

They now are set to face a battle just to finish in the top four of the standings.

Spurs have not been in the best off form in the League this season and Cascarino pointed out that this is not a one off scenario.

He said: “Saturday’s defeat away to Manchester City reminded me of the Chelsea game in which they lost the title to Leicester City.

“Tottenham seem to have a problem. If they have the ball and are on top in games everyone is happy. But as soon as they are in trouble and go behind they seem to lose the plot.

“They lost their shape and their discipline. Dele Alli is almost symbolic of this problem. Harry Kane and Alli made bad challenges and while I applaud them for attacking City, they were naive and complacent during a 4-1 defeat.

“He should have been sent off for his foul on Kevin De Bruyne and Mauricio Pochettino would do well to take him out of the spotlight for a game or two over Christmas.
