Ian Wright has said that Dele Alli is not just in the hunt for a new agent in order to get a new deal but added that he wants a big move.
The youngster parted ways with Rob Segal earlier on this season and is still in the hunt for a new agent.
There have been suggestions that the situation off the pitch is what has contributed to the player’s less than impressive form on the pitch this season.
The midfielder has yet to replicate his form from the previous two seasons this term and Wright has claimed that he must focus on his football before focusing on who will be his next agent.
He said: “It is a very, very important time for Dele. He has got to be focusing on football even when he is not playing football to get himself back to the level he was at.
“The other day he was like a shadow of what we know he can do. When you start getting agents like Jorge Mendes you are not getting those agent to renegotiate contacts.
“You are getting those agents to move you somewhere, move you big, so he has got to be playing at a consistent level [to show] why he would go get an agent like that.”
