Alan Shearer has said that Tottenham youngster Dele Alli should aim to follow the example of Raheem Sterling.
Alli who is a two-time PFA Young Player of the year award winner has been struggling for form this season and this has also coincided with Spurs struggles this season.
The North London club are already out of the title race and as they are languishing in 7th position on the standings, they could face a battle just to finish in the top four this season.
Sterling meanwhile has been in brilliant form and has played a key role for Pep Guardiola’s team who are seemingly destined to win the Premier League this season.
Shearer wrote about Alli in The Sun: “He could take a leaf out of Raheem Sterling’s book. Offered a swap, you would have taken Dele over Sterling this time last year. Sterling was getting headlines for things off the pitch and, on it, things were not happening for him.
“He has responded by knuckling down, listening to one of the best coaches in the game and the results have been fantastic for him and City.”
