Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has expressed his anger towards the tackles made by Dele Alli and Harry Kane during his side’s 4-1 victory over Spurs in the Premier League on Saturday.
City again dominated and recorded their 15th straight Premier League win.
Though Spurs were the underdogs heading into the game, all of their players were below par on the day and the result could have had a different feeling had the back tackles committed by Kane on Raheem Sterling and Alli on Kevin de Bruyne had any bad impacts.
“It was a dangerous action, like the one with Harry Kane and Raheem,” Guardiola said after being questioned about Alli’s challenge.
“It’s their football, the physicality of the Premier League and players have to adapt. You saw what happened. Thankfully, it was just a kick.”
Alli was particularly lucky to have only been given a yellow card by referee Craig Pawson.
