West Ham’s imminent loss set to be Liverpool’s gain if January switch goes through

As per the Daily Mail, West Ham could cash in on teenage midfield sensation Domingos Quina next month as manager David Moyes can’t give him assurances of regular playing minutes this term.

The 18-year-old arrived from Chelsea academy for free last summer, but has been restricted to just 4 first team cameo appearances.

Liverpool are said to be frontrunners in the race to land Quina, with plans in place to immediately loan him out once a move is completed.

While the Hammers will be making a handful of profit on the player they snapped up for nothing, the Reds could be eventual winners in the end.

Quina is regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in the land, and it’s one of the reasons Portugal have had to shoo countries like England and Guinea-Bissau off him.

Alongside Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Manchester United were all keen on Quina’s first ever signature as a pro last year.

A loan move to Sheffield United on transfer deadline day fell through during the summer, but losing the highly-rated youngster permanently appears to be on the card.

West Ham’s loss could end up being Liverpool’s gain in the long run, and they would be left ruing letting the teenage sensation leave if he turns out to be a big hit in the future.
