Aaron Cresswell has revealed how he feels about being played out of position. The 28-year-old, who is a specialist left-back, has had to fill in as a centre-half during recent games with James Collins and Jose Fonte out injured.
Cresswell suggested that he is improving under Moyes, saying, “I’m enjoying it. When the gaffer asked me to play there against Manchester City, sometimes you have to fill in when we have a few injuries, but we’ve picked up from there and we’ve kept two clean sheets in a row, so hopefully we can keep that going.
“I definitely feel I’m improving under the manager and his staff. Anyone who watches his training sessions will see organisation, set pieces and defending as a unit are his main things and that’s what we’ve done.”
Cresswell struggled for form during the early games of the season but has endured a resurgence since David Moyes was appointed manager of the club.
His resurgence has also coincided with West Ham’s improved form of late and if they continue playing the way that they are playing, they could avoid relegation this season.
