Wolverhampton to reportedly rival Aston Villa for prolific attacker

According to a report published by the Birmingham Mail, Wolves are rivalling Aston Villa in the race to sign Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

Grabban moved to Sunderland on loan ahead of this season and has done well, scoring 11 goals from 17 games for the struggling Black Cats.

Wolves currently lead the Championship standings and Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to add another striker to his side in order to provide competition to top scorer Leo Bonatini.

Aston Villa are also keen to add Grabban to their side. The Villains are currently without main striker Jonathan Kodjia, who is out through injury, and they are keen to add a forward with experience to their side in January.

Sunderland will have to try their best to keep the striker. They are struggling to avoid the drop this season and losing him could severely dent their hopes of survival this season.
