Everton, Newcastle and Celtic reportedly have chance to sign 22 goals-in-27-games finisher

Celtic vs Hearts

Premier League duo Everton and Newcastle, and Scottish giants Celtic are all interested in the services of Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye ahead of next month’s transfer window.

The Ghanaian striker has been in red-hot form in front of goal this term, banging 22 goals in 27 games across competitions and attracting a lot of suitors.

French outfit Rennes have tabled an opening offer of £6million, giving the aforementioned trio a chance to beat them to Boakye’s signature with a better offer.

Celtic are preparing for the departure of Moussa Dembele, and are keeping tabs on the 24-year-old former Juventus man as a replacement.

Newcastle have struggled in front of goal since returning to the topflight, and will need a top striker in January in order not to get relegated.

Boakye is no doubt an upgrade on the current crop of strikers available to manager Rafa Benitez, and he could be theirs for the right price.

Everton still want another striker after summer arrival Sandro Ramirez failed to prove himself in the mission to replace Romelu Lukaku.

38 goals in 47 games from Boakye for the Serbian club since January has shown he’s worth being gambled on, and the highest bidder should emerge top of the race to land him.
