Sky Sports Pundit Guillem Balague has said that Tottenham will need to be at their best if they hope to progress beyond the last 16 of the Champions League after they were drawn to play against Italian giants Juventus.
After underachieving in the Champions League during recent seasons, Spurs proved that they mean business this season by winning their group which included Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.
The North London club however will face a tough test against last season’s Champions League runner-up especially as they boast many players who have vast experience of playing in big tournaments.
Though Balague feels that Juve’s experience is something that will help them, he also feels that Spurs can prevail if they perform to a high standard.
He said: “Juve are more streetwise. Dele Alli, Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, and Jan Vertonghen will have to play to their absolute maximum, but can they do it? Of course they can.”
