Shaka Hislop believes that goalkeeper Adrian was the reason behind West Ham’s surprise 1-0 win against Chelsea on Saturday.
In spite of playing poorly for the majority of this season so far, the Hammers managed to claim a surprise victory against the reigning League Champions with Marko Arnautovic’s sixth minute strike proving to be decisive.
Despite the win, the Hammers remain in the bottom three. However it provides them with a valuable three points as well as a morale boost as they look to avoid relegation this season.
The Hammers had only 31% possession during the game and had five shots on target during the game so their defence helped them on the day.
Adrian replaced Joe Hart between the sticks last week against Manchester City after Hart was not eligible to play against his parent club.
After a positive performance from the Spaniard, he was retained to play against West Ham and once again delivered a good performance.
