West Ham boss Moyes refuses speak on alleged interest in striker

West Ham manager David Moyes has refused to give merit to reports suggesting that his club will inquire about Liverpool striker Danny Ings during the winter transfer window.

Though Ings is back in first team training after a long time on the side lines through injury, his first team chances have been few and far between as he is below Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in the Reds pecking order.

Moyes was asked if the reports linking his club to Ings were true and he refused to confirm or deny them saying, “There seems to be a lot of names being bandied about at the moment, but I’ve not had any involvement in it at the moment,”

“I will do over the coming weeks. Maybe Tony Henry and the chairman are talking to some people, but I have no idea about that at the moment.”

West Ham are currently struggling to avoid relegation and they are one of the clubs that will need to make reinforcements in January if they want to boost their chances of survival.
