According to a report published in the Telegraph, West Ham, Southampton and Everton have been dealt a transfer blow as Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will not allow Theo Walcott to leave the Gunners during the January transfer window.
The report added that Wenger expressed that he would like the 28 year old to make a case for himself to be included in the clubs first team plans while speaking ahead of the teams match against BATE Borisov at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.
The report state that Wenger said: “In training he looks sharp and he will show that,” and when asked if Walcott would stay at the Gunners in January, he replied saying, “Yes.”
Recent reports have suggested that Walcott may leave the Gunners during the January transfer window in order to boost his chances of making the England squad for the 2018 World Cup as he has struggled for game time at the Emirates this season.
