As per reports, West Ham forward Andre Ayew is surplus to requirements to manager David Moyes’ plans, and his former club Swansea are hoping to make a £10million swoop next month.
The Ghanaian arrived east London from Wales last summer for £20.5million, but hasn’t lived up to lofty expectations, no thanks to injuries.
Ayew has managed just 8 goals in 38 Premier League games for the Hammers, and now has the quartet of Marko Arnautovic, Michail Antonio, Manuel Lanzini and Javier Hernandez to share playing minutes with on the flanks.
Moyes is looking to bring in new players to help bolster the attack during the January transfer window, and it’s safe to say Ayew won’t be missed.
The 27-year-old might be keen on reuniting with his brother Jordan Ayew at the Liberty Stadium, while the lure of a guaranteed starting berth is also another huge temptation.
On the flip side, West Ham will not only be losing half of the fees they bought the former Marseille star with should they agree to sell, they could also boost Swansea’s relegation chances as a result.
