West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has said that his side need to build upon the performance which they delivered against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Hammers nearly claimed a point against arguably the best side in England. They took a surprise first half lead after Angelo Ogbonna found the back of the net.
Following an equalizer from Nicolas Otamendi, the game looked set for a draw however David Silva scored late on to seal the three points for Pep Guardiola’s men.
Adrian started the game as regular first choice goalkeeper Joe Hart was not eligible as he is on loan from City.
The Spanish keeper said after the game, “I don’t feel any happiness because we got nothing from the game,” “The feeling is that we’ve worked hard, we’ve defended well for all of the game and we had a great chance to make it 2-2 at the end.
“We have to take the positive things from this game, that we did a great job in defence, and build for the next games.
“We have a long run to the end of the season, we are in a difficult situation but I think we have a great dressing room and a great squad.
