As per Calcio Mercato, Arsenal and Tottenham have expressed interest in the signature of unhappy Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, but they have Serie A giants Roma and AC Milan to battle with.
The 21-year-old only joined Madrid in the summer from Real Betis, but the former Barcelona-target has been frustrated by a lack of regular playing time.
Ceballos has only started 2 La Liga games and come off the bench thrice in the Champions League.
The Gunners and Spurs are hoping to come his rescue, with both team looking to bolster their midfield departments.
Arsenal are preparing for the exit of Mesut Ozil who is bent on leaving having rejected extension offers, while Tottenham’s recent struggles suggest they could do with quality additions in coming transfer windows.
Ceballos has already shown he’s capable of helping his side this term whenever the forwards are napping in front of goal, grabbing a brace as Madrid saw off Alaves with a 2-1 win in September.
Spurs, now tagged in some quarters as the “Harry Kane” team due to their seemingly overdependence on the English striker for goals, can do with such player capable of spreading the goals across the pitch.
Madrid signed the Spain youth international for just £16million on a 6-year deal, and he shouldn’t come too costly for suitors if he insists on leaving.
