Tottenham boss Pochettino suffered against Leicester due to this reason

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that his side paid for a lack of early focus as they lost 2 -1 against Leicester on Tuesday.

The Foxes went into half time with a comfortable 2-0 lead following a deft lob from Jamie Vardy and a curling shot from Riyadh Mahrez.

Harry Kane did manage to pull one back for Spurs, however the North London club failed to find an equalizer.

A frustrated Pochettino said after the game, “We did not play in the way we normally play. The first half was a poor performance and it was difficult after that to get back into the game.

“We feel very disappointed in our performance. We started the game not in the right way and we conceded the opportunity to them to score. At 2-0 down it is difficult. We need to improve the way we start. It happened against West Brom and Borussia Dortmund.”

The loss against the Foxes extends Spurs current run of frustrating form in the League and means that they have now picked up just one point from their past three top flight games.
