West Ham ready to splash £15million for 8-goal-in-13-appearance striker

According to a report published by The Daily Mail, West Ham are lining up a move for Fyodor Smolov of Russian top flight club Krasnodar.

The 27-year-old has just 18 months remaining on his current deal and now that he is at the peak of his career, he is keen on a move to England.

Smolov has been in impressive form this season and has scored eight goals from just 13 appearances. He also has an impressive record for the Russia national team boasting 11 goals from 28 appearances.

Hammers manager David Moyes meanwhile wants to improve his side during the January transfer window and he has made signing a box to box midfielder a priority.

West Ham are clearly in need of attacking reinforcement and Smolov could be a good signing. The Hammers are reportedly willing to fork out £15 million for Smolov and that money is bound to be tempting to Krasnodar.
