Former Rangers manager Ally McCoist appears to have questioned some of the transfer decisions of erstwhile boss Pedro Caixinha following a poor campaign by the Light Blues.
Rangers fell to their 4th defeat of the Premiership campaign on Friday night as league minnows Dundee ran out 2-1 winners at Dens Park.
McCoist was far from pleased with the result, leading to a post-match analysis in which he declared: “You look at that team, you look at what is happening off the park…
“Does Herrera want to be there, does Candeias want to be there, does Pena want to be there? I’m not so sure.
“Rangers lack leaders just now, on and off the park.
“It’s a group of players that certainly aren’t good enough to challenge Celtic at the moment, undoubtedly.
“There has to be fresh talent come in to Rangers, the squad that they have at the moment are no-where near.”

The aforementioned foreign trio were signed by Caixinha during the summer transfer window as Rangers underwent a squad overhaul.
Herrera arrived from Mexican side Veracruz for £1.5million; Pena cost £2.2million, while Candeias was signed for £700,000.
To say they have been underwhelming since arriving Ibrox will be stating the obvious, and the jury is still out on their quality and ability to produce top notch performances.
It’s believed Caixinha didn’t get things right during the summer transfer window, and it seems his mistakes will continue to cost the club after he’s long gone.
While everyone can name drop players performing below par in their opinions, Rangers generally have been poor and it remains to be seen if this team can challenge for a top 3 finish.
