Tottenham youngster Dele Alli has hailed manager Mauricio Pochettino for guiding him in his development and added that the whole team have put their trust in the manager.
Alli has seen his form pick up recently following a rather frustrating start to the season with Spurs in fourth position and exceeding expectations with their performances in the Champions League.
Since Pochettino took over the North London club, he has transformed it from a modest club into one that can genuinely challenge for major trophies. Pochettino has succeeded in terms of fostering a sense of togetherness within the Spurs squad.
Alli has now heaped praise on his manager and said: “He’s massive to me, a big help with everything, every day in training and in everyday life he pushes you, making you a better person and player.
“He’s a massive role in my career; we work together a lot, we speak a lot, and I think that is important for a young player, to know you have a manager you can trust and speak to.
“He wants to help you improve and push you on. We trust in him, we put all our trust in him here, and that’s the main thing. We know that the decision he makes is the best for the team and it’s important that we stick by that.”
