Football pundit David Prutton has predicted that Sunderland will lose their Championship encounter against Burton Albion on Saturday afternoon.
Prutton said, “What a massive game this is. For both teams. This is where Chris Coleman’s tenure really starts at Sunderland because they were never realistically going to get anything from Villa Park in midweek, and a win could really help kick-start things there for him.
“It’s a big game for Burton as well. A home game against a side below them in the league presents a real opportunity to claim a victory, and they’ll be right up for this. It will be tight, but I have to back Nigel Clough’s men to edge it.”
The Black Cats enter the fixture rooted to the bottom of the Championship standings after winning just one game thus far and on the back of a 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa which was also Chris Coleman’s first game in charge of the club.
Burton are just slightly ahead of the Black Cats in the Championship standings and are languishing in 22nd position with two points more than their rivals.
This is a must win for Coleman’s side and they will need to prove Prutton wrong in order to boost their survival chances.
