Pundit claims scoring against PSG might have just boosted Celtic’s finances in advance

Celtic vs Hearts

Despite suffering their heaviest defeat of the season at the hands of PSG at the Parc des Princes, Celtic became the first team to breach the defence of the French giants in the current Champions League campaign.

Moussa Dembele put the Hoops in the lead barely a minute into the game, but it only triggered the hosts into full attacking mode, leading to an eventual 7-1 annihilation.

Regardless of the embarrassing result, Celtic might be in for more cash as a result of their goal according to former Hibernian forward Tam McManus.

The BBC Radio Scotland pundit tweeted after the game: “That goal has just added a few million onto Dembele’s price tag when he departs, probably in the Summer.

“This is the stage that gets you the big money move and bagging against PSG will attract a lot of attention ?.”

The 21-year-old is bound to attract a lot of suitors come season ending, and the fact that Real Madrid manager and French legend Zinedine Zidane showered praises on him means he’s on the right path.

Dembele has scored 39 goals for Celtic since arriving from Fulham last summer, and it would be hard for the club to keep him at Parkhead beyond the current campaign.

Many believe he’s worth at least £30million in the market right now, but should he keep scoring record-breaking goals, he could be worth much more by summer.
