As per reports, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has identified Reading centre-back Liam Moore as his top target come January, but West Ham could hinder his plans as boss David Moyes is also keen.
The 24-year-old has been crucial to the Championship side since arriving from Leicester City 2 summers ago, helping them to a playoff spot last term.
The former England under-21 international is also able to play at right-back, and his versatility will come handy at both Celtic and West Ham.
The Hoops have struggled with depth at the back this term having failed to sign a defender during the summer transfer window.
Having a quality addition like Moore will definitely help bolster Rodgers’ backline going forward.
The Hammers are also looking to strengthen their defence – one that has conceded most goals (25) this term, and Moyes believes adding steel in January will help shape things up.
Reading won’t be willing to let go of Moore considering his importance to the squad, but with promotion no longer likely this season, the availability of Premier League and European football at West Ham and Celtic respectively could tempt him into forcing a move.
