Former West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has expressed hope that David Moyes will be able to keep the Hammers in the Premier League this season.

When asked if he thinks that Moyes can keep the East London club in the Premier League, Hislop replied saying, “My simple answer is I hope so.”

The Hammers appointed Moyes as their new manager last Tuesday after parting ways with Slaven Bilic the previous day.

They are currently languishing in 18th position on the Premier League standings after taking just 9 points from their opening 11 games of the season.

Many fans of the club were skeptical of the decision to appoint Moyes considering that his last three managerial spells with Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland were unsuccessful.

Hislop also likewise does not seem to be too convinced that Moyes is the right man for the job. Hammers fans can however hope that Moyes can replicate at the Hammers what he did at Everton between 2002 and 2013.
