Former Everton captain Phil Neville has said that he wants David Unsworth to be appointed as full-time manager of the club for two seasons.
Neville said: “One, I think he’s a good person. Two, he’s done his hard graft in the youth team and the U23s, I hope as a young English coach he gets an opportunity to do well.”
The Toffees have been without a manager since parting ways with Ronald Koeman following their defeat to Arsenal last month.
They are currently languishing in 15th position on the standings and have won one out of their four games thus far played under caretaker boss Unsworth.
Though it is too early to judge whether Unsworth will be a good fit for the club or not, it would make sense if they appoint someone who has extensive managerial experience.
