According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Tottenham are keen on explosive Real Sociedad winger Mikel Oyarzabal – a transfer target of Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan.
The 20-year-old has been in fine form this season, scoring 6 La Liga goals in 8 appearances and earning himself a callup from Spain as a result.
Oyarzabal’s sudden rise was set in motion by new West Ham manager David Moyes, and he could pounce on a January move for his former protégée if necessary.
The Scot had a nightmarish time managing Sociedad during the 2015/16 season, but left with something positive having handed an 18-year-old Oyarzabal a senior team debut after promoting him from the reserve side.
The winger is widely tipped for greatness and it’s no surprise that Spurs have registered interest.
However, it remains to be seen if the north London side or the Serie A duo can immediately hand the Spaniard an important role in their star-studded squads.
Moyes could, though, having shown faith in him earlier on, and he holds an advantage as he can be able to convince Oyarzabal that West Ham is a perfect place to continue growing.
