West Ham youngster Declan Rice has revealed that he enjoyed his first week with new manager David Moyes.
Moyes was appointed as new manager of the Hammers on Tuesday following the sacking of Slaven Bilic the previous day.
Many fans of the East London club have been skeptical over whether Moyes was the right manager to appoint considering that his previous three spells with the likes of Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland were unsuccessful.
The 54 year old did however enjoy a successful spell working with Everton between 2002 and 2013 and managed to guide the Merseyside outfit to Champions League qualification.
Fans of West Ham will certainly be hoping that he can emulate his heroics from Everton at the Hammers.
Moyes trained with members of the Hammers squad that were not active internationally this week. Rice said: Training has been really good. He has come in, already spoken to most of the lads and we know how he’s going to work.
“The manager had us doing double sessions on Wednesday and that was really tough but we know how he’s going to work and the boys, myself included, are really looking forward to it.”
