West Ham United vice-chairman Karen Brady has revealed something that she and the club’s co-owners really liked about former manager Slaven Bilic.
Bilic was sacked as manager of the Hammers on Monday following the clubs poor start to the season and he has been replaced by former Manchester United and Everton boss David Moyes.
The Hammers were performing poorly under the guidance of the Croatian this season and are currently languishing in 18th position on the Premier League standings after taking just nine points from 11 games.
Bilic was popular among some sections of the Hammers fans and Brady has since revealed that he was also popular among the board.
She said: “He was never afraid of the truth or of speaking it. We liked him for that, David Sullivan, David Gold and I. There was always an air of sadness about him, even in the good times.”
