Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed why he chose to manage the Reds over Manchester United.
Klopp speaking from South Africa indicated that he chose to manage Liverpool as Manchester United play a different brand of football as compared to how he understands the game.
Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 after parting ways with Borussia Dortmund with whom he had a successful spell.
Now when speaking about why he chose to manage Liverpool over United, Klopp said: “Why Liverpool? I had an offer of another historical English club two years ago, but I ever felt comfortable with how they understood football. It didn’t feel right. When Liverpool called, I can’t explain it. It was right.”
He is expected by many fans of the Anfield club to help them return to their glory days.
Thus far he has yet to lead the club to silverware, however they have shown moments under him where they have played an attractive brand of football and did manage to secure qualification to the Champions League last season.
