Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is on his best ever managerial form at Parkhead, recently leading the club to their 63rd unbeaten domestic game and on track to defend last term’s treble.
The achievements of the former Liverpool boss in Scotland have seen him get linked with a return to the Premier League, with both West Ham and Everton mentioned as suitors of recent.
The former have since appointed David Moyes to succeed Slaven Bilic, while a return to the blue half of Merseyside is ruled out because of his Reds connection.
Rodgers seems contented with his current job and appears to have ruled out a return to the English topflight in the near future with his recent comments.
According to the Northern Irishman: “I look at the Premier League and you have virtually got a six week cycle and that’s frightening as a coach and a manager.
“It used to be you managed the club and dealt with the club but lots of times now you are managing in a six week cycle and if you have a bad four or five weeks you can be out of work and that way you’re never going to progress as a club.”
The Premier League has already witnessed 4 exits this term, with Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Everton and West Ham sacking Frank de Boer, Craig Shakespeare, Ronald Koeman and Bilic respectively.
