Barcelona star Luis Suarez has revealed that he has no doubts that Philippe Coutinho will be a success at the Spanish giants.
Suarez was a priority target of Barca during the summer transfer window and they are once again expected to attempt to sign him during the January transfer window.
Given what transpired during the summer transfer window, there is a high chance that Coutinho will end up departing Anfield in the near future.
He handed in a transfer request to the Reds and did not feature during the early games of this season as he had hoped to force through a move.
When talking about what Coutinho could offer his side, Suarez said: “A lot. I know him as a person and as a player because I played with him, but everyone knows what Coutinho can contribute.”
When asked about whether he feels Coutinho would have wanted to move to Barcelona, the Uruguay international said: “Obviously he must have because he’s a player who has ambition and any player would want to come to Barca.”
