Could Ibrox legend and Eredivisie winning manager become the next Rangers boss?

As the search for Rangers next manager continues, Sky Bet has named Feyenoord boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst as second favourite for the job.

The former Rangers left-back is now firmly behind Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes in the running according to the bookmarkers.

Van Bronckhorst has proven his worth within a short but successful managerial career, leading his side to the Eredivisie title last term and the Dutch Cup the previous one – his maiden campaign with the club.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona man managed to beat both Ajax and PSV Eindhoven to the prize, giving Feyenoord their first league title since 1999.

Their title defence however hasn’t exactly gone well as they are currently 6th on the table and 12 points behind leaders PSV.

Given his little knowledge of Scottish football, the 42-year-old could be a hit in the Ibrox dugout, but it remains to be seen if the Dutch giants will be keen on letting him go at the moment.
