Tottenham teenage sensation set to make senior international debut during the international break

Despite still awaiting his Premier League bow for Tottenham, 19-year-old centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers is very much likely to make his debut for the United States next Tuesday.

The USMNT play Portugal in a friendly next week, and the Spurs youth product is in line to feature having received a call up from interim manager Dave Sarachan.

With their next competitive match to take place in 2019, the United States will be going through the process of equipping their youngsters for the future, and Carter-Vickers is bound to be a key feature of that plan.

The teenager is currently on loan at Championship outfit Sheffield United, and has helped the 2nd placed team on the log to 7 victories in the 9 games he has featured.

Carter-Vickers has weighed in a goal and assist, with his winner against Bolton back in September securing United all 3 points.

His growth has been recognized by the U.S, and he could be on his way to forcing himself into manager Mauricio Pochettino’s first team plans sooner rather than later.

Spurs definitely have got a valuable future star on their hands in form of Carter-Vickers.
