According to a report published by The Sun, Sheffield United are fearful that Tottenham Hotspur may choose to recall Cameron Carter-Vickers from his current loan spell at Bramall Lane.

Carter- Vickers was sent on a season long loan spell to United during the summer in order to acquire more first team experience.

He has so far proven to be impressive and has helped Chris Wilder’s team rise to second position on the Championship standings.

The teenager has made nine appearances to date and also managed to score the winner against Bolton in September.  He also managed to provide an assist during his team’s 4-1 victory over Hull City this weekend.

Carter-Vickers form has not gone unnoticed by his parent club and the report added that Spurs have chosen to recall him in the near future.

As a result of this, United have identified Brentford’s John Egan as a potential replacement should Carter-Vickers be recalled in January.
