This is coming after almost a year in which they have never won 3 consecutive games, and the influence Murty has had on this team in such a short while shouldn’t be underestimated.
The 42-year-old is proving he has the potential to be more than just a caretaker boss, and should he successfully make it 4 wins in a roll and also get a result against Aberdeen, Rangers shouldn’t hesitate to make him their permanent manager.
However, it appears the club could choose a new manager soon, and they might just miss out on a big trick by not going for Murty – one of their least favourite candidates.
Although he has claimed he’s not worthy to be mentioned in same sentence with Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane, but he could as well go ahead and write his name in Rangers folklore if given the chance, just as the French legend has done at Bernabeu despite having no prior first-team managerial experience.
