Everton want decorated manager as replacement for Ronald Koeman

Hiddink

Everton have been linked with Dutch veteran manager Guus Hiddink to take over the vacant managerial role at the club, according to the Daily Mirror.

Everton got rid of Ronald Koeman last month after a series of poor results which saw the Toffees slip into the relegation places.

Koeman has since been replaced on a temporary basis by the U-21 coach David Unsworth and the Merseyside club are now on the lookout for a new permanent manager to take over the reins at Goodison Park.

Many names have been put forward for the aforementioned role and the likes of Sam Allardyce and Thomas Tuchel have been mentioned by the media.

However, it has been reported that former Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink is the one that the Everton owners are looking at and the veteran manager might replace fellow Dutchman at the Merseyside club during the international break.

Hiddink boasts an impressive CV of having managed the likes of PSV, Chelsea, Real Madrid and the Netherlands national team among others and with his proven record of changing the fortunes of underperforming teams, the 70-year-old might be a good option for Everton.
