West Ham are experiencing a defensive crisis and could also be set to be without Michail Antonio for their game against Liverpool this weekend.
Antonio, who was widely criticized for gifting Crystal Palace, during the Hammers frustrating 2-2 draw against the bottom of the table club has a slight hamstring problem according to manager Slaven Bilic and will not be included in the match day squad.
Speaking ahead of the game, Bilic said: “We have four or five injuries and one suspension. Sam will be out four or five weeks but Antonio should be fit for Watford after the international break.
“It happened so fast. Before Palace we had all our players fit bar James Collins. Then Winston Reid was injured in the run-up and Aaron Cresswell went out in the game against Palace.”But Reid and Cresswell are fit and they trained so they should be fit for Liverpool.”
The East London club will now have to face off against the World-class attack of Liverpool without a recognized right-back given that Pablo Zabaleta is suspended while Sam Byram, Jose Fonte and James Collins are all injured.
