French giants eyeing a swoop for Tottenham’s key figure

Pochettino

According to reports, French giants PSG have earmarked current Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as a possible candidate to replace Unai Emery as their manager at the end of the season.

In addition to Pochettino, Antonio Conte, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti have also been placed on the shortlisted.

Emery’s current deal with the French giants is set to expire at the end of the season and whether he remains at the club or not will ultimately come down to how will the club does in the Champions League after many years of under-achievement in Europe’s Premier club competition.

Pochettino has gained praise for the way that he has managed to transform Spurs into a side that can challenge for major silverware while working on a limited budget.

Pochettino however looks unlikely to leave Spurs in the near future. Questions however do remain over the long-term futures of Mourinho and Conte at Manchester United and Chelsea respectively.
