Tottenham star Dele Alli has said that his club are still in a fantastic position despite having suffered back to back defeats last week.
The Lilywhites were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by West Ham during mid-week as they slumped to a 3-2 defeat. They followed that up by falling to a 1-0 defeat against Manchester United on Saturday.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team had to make do without Harry Kane for the game after the striker picked up an injury during his side’s game against Liverpool and this would have done nothing to help Spurs end their tag of being a one man team that revolves around Kane.
Despite the defeats, Alli is remaining positive and said: “We don’t just want to compete, we want to win and as a team.
“We’re frustrated but now we have two big games coming up, Real Madrid and Palace so it’s important we learn from this, work on what’s gone wrong and keep building as a team because we’re still in a fantastic position and we’ve been in good form, so we can’t let this knock us back.”
