According to a report published by Diario Goal (as reported by the Mirror), Real Madrid have given Gareth Bale permission to leave the club at the end of the season.
Bale has fallen down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu and has been linked with a move back to Madrid.
Though Manchester United have been speculated to be interested, reports add that the Welsh superstar would prefer a return back to Spurs.
Is Madrid do end up following through and trying to sign Harry Kane at the end of the season, then Bale could be used as bait to make a deal happen.
Kane has established himself as one of the top players in World football during the past two seasons and has been linked with a move to Madrid.
Madrid are no strangers to buying some of the World’s best talents at their peak and it would not come as a surprise if they do make a bid for the England international.
