Celtic remain a dominant force on the domestic front having gone 61 games with a loss since the start of last season.

However, there remain concerns over their depth at centre-defence, and the latest development doesn’t do manager Brendan Rodgers any good.

Anthony Ralston missed the last 7 games to a knee injury, and could face an extended period on the treatment table, as there could be need for him to go under the knife.

The 20-year-old centre-back has helped cover for the likes of Jozo Simunovic, Erik Sviatchenko and Dedryck Boyata at various points of the season, playing 5 games across all competitions.

However, the extra and handy quality Ralston brings to the squad will be missed as he could miss 4 to 6 more weeks, with a scan set to determine how long he would be gone for.

Considering his usefulness to Celtic this term, his absence could be regarded as one of the most crushing blows of the campaign.
