Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has said that Tottenham will not be able to win the League this season if Harry Kane gets injured.
The 24 year old Kane was forced to limp off during the final minutes of his sides 4-1 win over Liverpool last weekend and he was rested for Spurs Carabao Cup encounter against West Ham on Wednesday.
Mauricio Pochettino has failed to confirm whether the England international will be available for Spurs crucial League game against Manchester United this weekend.
Considering that Kane is one of the best strikers in World football, it will be a major blow to Spurs trophy ambitions if they will have to make do without him for sustained periods.
Ferdinand said: “If Harry Kane stays fit then yeah; if Harry Kane gets injured, no chance. They’ve got no one to replace him who’s going to get that amount of goals. He’s a talisman.
“He’s not all Tottenham, don’t get me wrong – I’m not saying they’re a one-man team – but to go and win a league you need a number nine who’s going to be banging in goals. Outside of Harry Kane in that squad I don’t really see anyone else doing it.”
