West Ham pulled a shocker on Wednesday night after coming from behind at 2-nil in halftime to hand Tottenham a 3-2 loss.
The Hammers played their best 45 minutes so far this term to book a meeting with Arsenal in the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup in December, and one man – Andre Ayew, was behind that inspiring performance.
The Ghanaian international forward struck 2 quick goals to draw West Ham level, while Angelo Ogbonna bagged the winner to hand manager Slaven Bilic a timely lifeline following a run of unimpressive results.
Since arriving West Ham last August, Ayew has been involved in 15 goals (10 goals and 5 assists) – more than any other West Ham player, and while he has only shone in fits and starts, he remains a lethargic presence in front of goal.

The 27-year-old has bagged 4 goals and an assist in 11 games this term, and they have all proven to be vital.
Although Ayew has battled injuries since his switch from Swansea, there is no denying the quality he brings to the table when fit, and there is no reason not to involve him in the action more than other forwards.
His numbers speak volume, and he could prove to be the difference West Ham need to succeed this campaign.
