Tottenham boss Pochettino hands his side a warning

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that winning the Carabao Cup or FA Cup will not be enough for his side this season.

The Lilywhites have not won a trophy for nine years, with their last piece of silverware coming in 2008 when they claimed the League Cup.

They have however become a formidable side since Pochettino became manager and have narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League during the past two seasons.

Spurs have arguably their best chance to win major silverware this season given that they have world class players such as Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli all within their ranks and performing well.

Pochettino said: “Our objective is to win the Premier League, to win the Champions League. And then there is the FA Cup, of course, I would like to win and I would like to win the Carabao Cup, but if you want to be a big team and fight for big things, I think it is impossible if you don’t use all the squad and rotate in England.”
