Real Madrid eyeing a shock swoop from Tottenham Hotspur

Pochettino

According to a report published by The Sun, Spanish giants Real Madrid are actively considering Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as a potential successor to Zinedine Zidane.

Real president Florentino Perez has made it clear that he has no plans to replace Zidane in the near future.

However if events do happen which create a situation where Zidane leaves, Pochettino would be one of the managers considered to replace him.

Since taking over Spurs in June 2014, Pochettino has done an admirable job, transforming the North London outfit from a modest outfit to one that can genuinely challenge for major trophies.

The Argentinian has also now established himself as a respected manager within World football and has played a key role in spearheading the successes of players such as Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli

It remains to be seen if Pochettino will opt to stay at Spurs for the long-term or whether he will be tempted by offers from big name clubs.
