Everton boss Koeman makes a big admission about his future

Everton manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that his future is now outside his own hands after his club suffered a 5-2 Premier League defeat against Arsenal on Sunday.

Despite spending nearly £130 million on bringing in new players to the club during the summer, the Toffees are currently struggling in the League and are currently in 18th position on the standings after taking just eight points from their opening nine games of the season.

Both majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri and chairman Billl Kenwright watched the club go down to the Gunners and neither looked impressed with what they saw on the pitch.

When asked about his future, Koeman told Sky Sports as reported by Eirsport: “I don’t know. I told the players I believe in them, in their commitment. The decision is not in my hands.

“That’s normal, that’s football. We have played nine Premier League games against the first five of the Premier League last season.

“We are not in a position in the table that is good for Everton, I understand, I have been in football a long time, don’t tell me what can happen, I don’t think it’s too late.

“It is not a time to start to be crazy. I am responsible for this team, it’s a big result even against a team like Arsenal, we will see what happens.”
