West Ham have received huge blow ahead of Brighton clash

West Ham United have received a blow ahead of their match against Brighton and Hove Albion tonight after it has been confirmed that Diafra Sakho is set to miss the game due to a re-occurrence of back pain.

Speaking ahead of the game, Bilic said: “We have a couple that are out because of injury. James Collins is out for a matter of days and Sakho has back pain.

“He didn’t train since Burnley so he’s out of Friday’s game. They could both be back for the Spurs game.”

There is no doubt that it is likely that Sakho would have played in this match had he been fit, especially considering that Andy Carroll is banned having received a red-card last week against Burnley.

This however does mean that Bilic can play Javier Hernandez in his proper position rather than shunting him out wide. Though the Mexican is suffering from a hamstring problem, he is expected to start.
