Arsenal legend Martin Keown has said that he has been impressed by the manner in which Mauricio Pochettino has turned Moussa Sissoko’s career around.
After arriving at the North London club from Newcastle last summer, Sissoko endured a poor season with the club and many fans called for him to be sold this summer.
The Frenchman has however shown a great deal of improvement this term and he was impressive on Wednesday during Spurs impressive 1-1 Champions League draw against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernaubeu.
Keown said: “What has really impressed me about Mauricio Pochettino is how he is using players like Moussa Sissoko — someone we all thought he had given up on. Pochettino used Sissoko’s pace and energy to good effect against Real Madrid,”
Sissoko’s rise in form can be considered to be encouraging for Spurs fans. Tottenham next take on Liverpool at the Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
