West Ham defender Reid issues rallying cry ahead of Brighton clash

West Ham defender Winston Reid has revealed that his side must win their game against Brighton and Hove Albion on Friday after suffering heartbreak against Burnley last weekend.

Though the Hammers had to make do with ten men for majority of the game following Andy Carroll’s red-card, they managed to keep a 1-0 lead till late on in the game until Chris Wood managed to find an equalizer for the Clarets.

Slaven Bilic’s side currently lie in 15th position on the League standings with eight points from as many games.  Brighton are a spot above West Ham with the same amount of points.

“We will look to bounce back next week, we have a game against Brighton on Friday night and we have to win that game,” Reid told the club’s website.

“Hopefully we will do well this season, but we need to start picking up some more wins so that we can get further up the table.

“We had a very poor first three games and we have had some injuries but we have got just about all our injured players back now and you could see there are good players that can’t even get on to the bench.”
