According to reports, Aston Villa are monitoring the progress of Rangers star Alfredo Morelos.
Football Insider have claimed that the Championship outfit sent Tony Coton to watch Morelos in action during the weekend as the Colombian international helped his side defeat St Johnstone 3-0.
Since arriving at Rangers during the summer, Morelos has proven to be a success and has so far banged in eight goals from 13 appearances.
Villa are also not enjoying the best of seasons up front and will be found to look for someone who can find the back of the net regularly in January.
Jonathan Kodjia and Scott Hogan have scored just four goals amongst them while Keinan Davis looks promising but still lacks experience.
Villa will not be afraid to spend heavily in January as they will be looking to push for promotion. There is a chance that they may swoop for Morelos if he continues his rich run of form.
