Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has played down the reports linking him with Real Madrid.
Pochettino has managed to impress during his managerial stints with Southampton and now with Spurs and there is no doubt that many of the World’s most elite clubs will be looking to recruit him as their manager during the coming years.
The Argentine boss was also linked with the Real managerial job before Zinedine Zidane replaced Rafa Benitez. Whether Pochettino does join the Spanish giants in the future remains to be seen.
However for now at least, he looks to be happy at Spurs and told El Mundo Deportivo: “I have never been close to signing for Real Madrid. There are rumours coming from I do not know where.”
On Zidane, Pochettino continued: “What I like about Zidane is his tranquility and his good sense. He coaches in the same way that he played football. We will face the best team in the world (next week).”
